Fundamentals of Surgical Research Course
This full-day course aimed to build research capacity among surgical practitioners in the region. Through presentations, facilitated activities, and mentorship, participants built skills needed to lead research that improves both surgical care and patient outcomes. This course was a collaboration with COSECSA, Intuitive Foundation, and many others.
Wednesday, December 4
Task Deconstruction Workshop
This full-day workshop aimed to accelerate the development of perioperative skills training modules for nurses and midwives in resource-constrained settings. Through facilitated activities, participants worked to breakdown a complex procedure into smaller, management tasks. These tasks became the basis for developing training modules that enable specific clinicians to independently learn and practice perioperative skills. This workshop was a collaboration with ECSACONM.
