Primary Trauma Care Foundation Module Development
The Primary Trauma Care (PTC) Foundation is collaborating with SELF to develop a series of skills training modules focused on delivering essential, low-resource trauma care in low- and middle-income settings. These modules are designed to help frontline healthcare workers learn and practice life-saving interventions that can be delivered with limited equipment and in austere environments.
What is task deconstruction?
In the context of procedural medicine and training, task deconstruction is a process of breaking down a complex procedure into smaller, manageable components or steps. Each step is analyzed in detail, allowing learners to focus on individual elements of the task before putting everything together into a complete procedure.
The purpose of task deconstruction in procedural skills training is to simplify the learning process and identify key skills required at each step of a procedure.
